In a well played local derby, HJK Helsinki won 2-0 over KäPa after an even tactical match. It was easy to see that both teams had something to play for and fought until the end. Both teams were very aggressive in the pressing game and the match featured some high-level technical elements.

KäPa coached by Waltteri Piispanen started in a 4-3-3 formation with 2 holding midfielders. Their full-backs were attacking minded and aggressive going forward. They alternated between playing the ball out form the goalkeeper or kicking the ball to the flanks to avoid HJK pressure. KäPa has a technically good team with some exciting players.

HJK Helsinki coached by Mike Peltola started the match in a 4-3-3 formation with a holding midfielder and 2 attacking midfielders in the centre. HJK attacking players were very aggressive and dynamic throughout the match. HJK style of play was to play form the goalkeeper or centre-backs trough the middle an then to the fullbacks or wingers.

The match started in an even note without any of the teams being able to completely gain the upper hand throughout the match. There was a lot of battles in the midfield and both teams wanted to play an attacking style of football. In the start of both the first half and second half KäPa had the ball the most on HJK’s half and was pressing HJK high up on on their half, while HJK was dangerous on counterattacks. In the second half a penalty was committed on KäPa’s Daniel Ripatti, but the opportunity was missed by a good save from HJK`s goalkeeper Jone Tarkanmäki. In the 59 minute Salem Bouajila scored a good goal with a little chip past the goalkeeper after a great assist from Adam Zaitra. In the last minute of the game a penalty was committed on HJK`s Valo Konttas and Adam Zaitra scored by placing the ball in the middle of the goal. A game where there was a few quality shots on goal, battles in the midfield and a high technical level.
