U17 Eliitliiga Esiliiga (Estonia) – Tartu JK Tammeka vs FC Tallinn

A rainy November night in Tartu. The youth teams of Tartu JK Tammeka and FC Tallinn were facing each other in the U17 Eliitliiga Esiliiga last round. Without any serious stakes, the players could bring natural performance to the Sepa Football Centre (Sepa Jalgpallikeskus) showcasing their talent. The final whistle meant three points for FC Tallinn ending the match with a 1-2 win.

Martin Teder, coach of home side Tartu JK Tammeka chose a 4-1-4-1 (or 4-5-1) reminiscent shape for this matchday. They invested energy into their wing-play hand in hand with taking the advantages of the wingers’ quickness and good 1v1 abilities.

Karl Rasmus Rosenthal in front of the opposing goal, took the role of the ‘target player’. Despite of they had a big opportunity in the 6th minute, the guest team FC Tallinn got the lead after a corner situation (0-1). Although Tartu JK Tammeka equalized in the 79th minute by the penalty of Roman Pyrozhenko (1-1), conceding one more in the last minutes led to the 1-2 loss.

FC Tallinn, led by Aleksei Davõdov, started the clash in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Usually they had a stabile and solid play with minimal significant mistakes; the team had its defensive potential in the well-working 4-men line at the back (as we can see below), with great harmony and understanding between the players in addition the ability to regain the possession near to the defensive third.

The best potential players in my opinion:

Romet Hurt (Tartu JK Tammeka), winger born in 2009.

Playing on the left flank, Romet had several 1v1 tasks with having the opportunities to take the benefits of his agility and dribbling. As a good inverted winger, instead of making crosses into the box, he preferred to dribble from the right wing to the middle, being one step ahead of his opponents. The signs of the awareness and the creativity were also flashed, which were mixed with good level of bravery and confidence.

Marat Šesterikov (FC Tallinn), midfielder born in 2007.

A versatile player with quickness; was fairly useful at build up play and also for supporting the attacks. Had good chances in the 1v1s, even when he was on the defensive side. His passing play can be characterized as conscious and creative plus he is a technically gifted one. Scored the decisive goal in the 88th minute of the game – with winning all the three points for his club FC Tallinn.

To FOLLOW also Tartu JK Tammeka midfielder Mykola Onishchuk (2009); and FC Tallinn winger Artjom Skubi (2007).
