Stadion Miejski Stal w Rzeszowie (Rzeszów, Poland). After the international break, Stal Rzeszów faced ŁKS Łódź in Matchday 13 of the Polish I liga (2nd tier), which has ended with the away team’s win by the final score of 1-4.

Home team Stal Rzeszów was in good form, as they have collected twelve points in the last five league matches, and were waiting for this clash from the 6th position. ŁKS Łódź on the opposition side, stood at the 11th place in the league table before the match, with five points in the previous five I liga games.

Stal Rzeszów, led by coach Marek Zub, started the game in 4-3-3 formation, which was 4-5-1 / 5-4-1 when they were out of possession. Team captain Sébastien Thill (who is international player for Luxembourg) came up as the main playmaker; Oliwier Sławiński (who started the match as central midfielder) had to play in the Number 9 position from the middle of the first half, due to the injury of the original striker Brazilian Jonathan Júnior.
ŁKS Łódź, under the guidance of Szymon Grabowski, opted for 3-5-2 formation, which was 5-3-2 in defending / out of possession. The main characteristics of the team-play were: fluidity and massive confidence. As on the opposition side, Łódź’s main playmaker was the team captain Michał Mokrzycki, who was also able to deliver balls to the middle by long throw-ins. The two wide midfielders (Swedish Gustaf Norlin as left midfielder & German Jasper Löffelsend as right midfielder) offered quality support also for the defense.

ŁKS Łódź took the lead in the game’s 28th minute, by an own goal (0-1). Four minutes later, the away lead was increased by the nice header of Moldovan international defender Artur Crăciun (the assist was delivered by a corner taken by Michał Mokrzycki / 0-2). In the 37th minute, Łódź’s German midfielder Sebastian Ernst also found the opposition goal by his header — this time Ernst’s compatriot Jasper Löffelsend was the one, who made the assist (0-3). Only few seconds after the start of the second forty five minutes, the difference became four, by another own goal (0-4). In the 51st minute, Stal Rzeszów scored a consolation goal: Sébastien Thill made a fantastic left-footed (one-touch) cross, which found Oliwier Sławiński, whose header rattled the net (1-4).
