Kohtla-Järve kunstmuruväljak (Kohtla-Järve, Estonia). U19 teams of Jõhvi FC Phoenix and JK Narva Trans played against each other in the U19 Eliitliiga Esiliiga. The game has ended with an away win by the final score 1-2.

Both teams achieved confident wins in the previous round; Jõhvi FC Phoenix defeated Viimsi JK by the score of 1-4 away, while JK Narva Trans on the opposition side left no questions by its massive 8-0 home win against Ida-Virumaa JK Noova.

In this clash, Jõhvi FC Phoenix (led by its Moldovan-Ukrainian coach Nicolai Lahmai), opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation in the opposition of JK Narva Trans (coached by Russian-Estonian Maksim Gruznov) 3-4-2-1 reminiscent basic shape, which often turned to be 2-4-4 while they were building up their play. The offense of home side Jõhvi FC Phoenix was often operated by individual (solo) actions, for the purpose of moving the ball onto the opposition half, in addition to looking for the alone striker Aleksandr Manuškin (who took on the Target man role) with the balls. Despite of some difficult situations at the back, they demonstrated good resilience against the opposing pressure. JK Narva Trans should be highlighted for the continuity and fluidity in their build-up / offensive play; the two defensive midfielders (team captain Jaroslav Jerjomin and Jevgeni Ivanov) needs to be praised for their great performances and high work rate. Substitution players Gennadi Gorki and Ukrainian Kyrylo Butov definitely gave boost for the team, mainly by their fast-paced and motivated play.
In the second half, the players had to face heavy rain started during the break, but this wasn’t an influencing factor in terms of the quality of the match.

The first goal of the game came up in the 22nd minute, by the header of JK Narva Trans right wing-back Daniil Mihhailov (0-1). In the 90th minute, Timur Zubkov doubled the lead for his team (0-2), to which the answer came quickly by Jõhvi FC Phoenix team captain Stepan Karhanin (1-2 / in the image below) – but there was no more time left for more goals.
