Guldfågeln Arena (Kalmar, Sweden). Back to Matchday 12 of the Swedish Superettan, when Kalmar FF defeated Landskrona BoIS in a twisty game, by the final score of 3-2.

Kalmar FF, under the guidance of Finnish coach Toni Koskela (who is famous for managing HJK Helsinki in Finland, and AEL Limassol in Cyprus), started the match in 4-4-2 formation, with Finnish striker Anthony Olusanya and Nigerian attacker Abdussalam Magashy up front. The team was in an unbeaten run before this clash, in terms of its last five league games (2 wins, 3 draws); they operated with a frequent, high pressing play to cause difficulties for the opposition team near their own box. Kalmar demonstrated good level of confidence during the build-up phase, as well as in ball possession.
Landskrona BoIS, led by its talented, young coach Robin Asterhed (formerly managed IFK Värnamo, and was the assistant manager of Norwegian club Lillestrøm SK and the chief scout of Malmö FF), opted for 4-3-3 formation. Tall Cameron Streete was alone striker, with the support of dynamic wingers, Kosovar-Swedish Edi Sylisufaj (LW) and the former Kalmar FF player Kevin Jensen (RW). Landskrona, as a unit, presented likeable team character, in addition to the players’ great individual/personal attitude. Goalkeeper Svante Hildeman also needs to be highlighted, as keeping the score narrow, by his great saves and blocks.

The game’s first hit came up in the 2nd minute, when Kalmar FF young Gambian player Gibril Sosseh took the advantages of an opposition mistake at the back, and scored the leading goal (1-0). In the 8th minute, Landskrona BoIS equalized the score, by a fantastic right-footed volley of winger Edi Sylisufaj (1-1). The lead was with the guests in the 22nd minute, after an own goal scored by the opposition defender (1-2). For the last period of the game, Kalmar FF shook itself; Abdussalam Magashy scored an equalizer in the 84th minute (2-2), which was followed by the penalty goal of Anthony Olusanya scored in the extra-time – which turned to be the game’s decisive hit (3-2).
