Stadionul Suruceni (Suruceni, Moldova). FC Politehnica UTM faced reigning champions FC Milsami Orhei in the Moldovan Liga 2025/26 (officially “Liga 7777.md”) Matchday 2, as the new competition has started in the middle of June. The game finished with an away win, by the final score of 0-3.

FC Politehnica UTM, plays in the Moldovan highest tier, after a merger with FC Saksan before the season 2025/26. FC Milsami Orhei on the guests’ side, awarded its second championship title in the previous season one point ahead of Sheriff Tiraspol, the team that didn’t lose any single league game in the Moldovan first division in 2024/25.
FC Politehnica UTM, coached by Ilie Pinteac, started this clash in 4-2-3-1 formation, which was often a 4-4-2 shape out of possession (as moving young attacking midfielder Bogdan Musteață one row up). For the second half, the system was switched to 4-4-1-1, including several players’ positional changes (like Fabian Pegza, who started as centre-forward, was navigated to the left midfielder position). Patience and adaptability were the most typical of the team; they had to use a lot of energy in defense. It was delighting to see so many Moldovan youngsters in first level football action, as most of them are 2006-2007 born players.
FC Milsami Orhei, under the guidance of its Moldovan-Russian coach Igor Picuşceac, used the same formation as the opposition team did at the start (4-2-3-1). Confident, ball possession based game and quite dynamic offensive play (thanks to wingers Sorin Chele / LW and Nigerian Ime Ndon / RW) were put on the pitch; basically quick building up was in work through the entire clash, but after they got a two goals lead, the main focus was on to control the game, with the tempo one level lower. Experienced team captain Radu Gînsari (AM) stood out in this game – with his great leadership, in addition to one goal and one assist.

FC Milsami Orhei got its significant lead within the first twenty minutes. Three minutes later, team captain Radu Gînsari doubled the score by his great left-footed shot (0-2). The last hit was delivered in the 61st minute, when Ime Ndon placed the ball to the goal with his composed, right-footed finish (0-3).
