In a match between two young and confident teams coached by two talented emerging coaches, IF Brommapojkarna secured the victory by scoring all three goals in the second half. Both teams displayed great offensive qualities and talents in the last third.

IK Sirius, coached by Brommapojkarna previous assistant manager Andreas Engelmark in a 1-4-4-2 formation, had fluid movements and interchanges in possession with their wingers often moving inside the pitch to create overloads, their central midfielders dropping on the side of the centre-backs and their full-backs pushing up in high position (as by image below).

On the contrary, they were very ‘structured’ out of possession. This led them to four shots in the first fifteen minutes of the match by Persson and Lindberg (ex Hvidovre in Danish Superliga) following regains in the opposition half and fast counterattacks.
IF Brommapojkarna, coached by Ulf Kristiansson (who was recently promoted to the first team from their productive Academy), found good spaces to progress with the ball through the thirds by picking up intermediate positions with their midfielders, especially with Ackermann who supported in front of the ball to ‘break through’ the opposition midfield line (as in the image below).

They set up in a 1-4-2-3-1 formation out of possession which turned into 1-4-4-2 when Odefalk moved up with Alladoh to press one of the two CBs.
Here the young players who stood out in this match:
Robbie Ure (Sirius), Scottish striker born 2004.
Target player, strong in aerial duels and in protecting the ball by using his body. Good spatial awareness when receiving the ball back to goal as he demonstrated by making effective decisions on either to turn or set the ball for his supporting team mates. Good presence in the box, he used effective preparatory movements to loose his opponents but did not impact the ball in the chances created for him by Persson.
The English Championship (low to mid-table team) can be the right platform for Robbie to showcase his best qualities and develop at a higher pace.
Joakim Persson (Sirius), Swedish / Ethiopian right footed winger/striker born 2002.
Tall and fast striker, able to progress with the ball at speed by using both feet. Strong in attacking 1v1, and precise in his key passes. He created a chance for Heier with a great through ball to the winger whose finish from close range was not successful. Also he was very good in crossing as he demonstrated in several occasions with a variety of techniques to find Ure in the box. Acted more as a wide winger in the second half and made well-timed runs in the back space. Good timing of arrival when attacking the penalty box on crosses.
Joakim is in the long-term a profile for the highest level of football (Premier League) considering his outstanding physical and technical attributes.
Wilmer Odefalk (BP), Swedish offensive midfielder born 2004.
Wilmer has a great ability to position himself between the lines to receive forward passes and assist the forwards with top level vision. Great ball control in tight areas and good explosiveness when changing direction with the ball to beat his opponents. A moment of high level technique was when he beat an opponent in the opposition box by performing an unexpected and effective sole roll before finishing from close range (saved). Outstanding deliveries from corners.
Wilmer has the flair and game intelligence of a higher level. His next short-term step can be a Top 6 team in Eredivisie.
Ezekiel Alladoh (BP), Ghanaian striker born 2005.
Left footed centre-forward with a good ability to hold the ball up. Showed good strength and balance in his physical and aerial duels. Good movements off the ball to receive penetrative passes in the back space. He made his sense for the goal known when he performed an overhead kick which was blocked on the goal-line by an opposition defender and when he headed the ball from inside the six-yard box to score the first of the three Brommapojkarna goals.
Ezekiel can be an interesting profile to follow for a mid-table team in the Italian Serie A.
To FOLLOW also Brommapojkarna right winger Anton Kurochkin (born 2003) who scored the last two goals of the match and showed great speed and finishing skills.
