Newly promoted Skeid Fotball hosted a league clash in the opposition of IK Start, in the Norwegian 2nd tier (1. divisjon). The game was held in the Nordre Åsen Idrettspark (based in Oslo) and ended with a two goals comeback win for the away team (1-3).

Matchday 2 of Norwegian second level (1. divisjon) football season 2025. Home side Skeid Fotball wanted to fight back, after they suffered a loss in the opening round against Odds BK away (2-1); guest team IK Start on other side, kicked the door with a much positive result as they defeated Sogndal Fotball at home (2-1).

Skeid Fotball, led by its young and talented coach Vilde Rislaa, started this encounter in a formation of 4-4-2; the team demonstrated good level of resilience at the physical challenges, mainly around the midfield zone. Sulayman Bojang (right-back) stood out, as he was able to speed up the play, in addition to perform several important tackles and blocks in the defense (as we can see by the images below).

IK Start, under the guidance of Azar Karadas (former player of Rosenborg BK, S.L. Benfica and Portsmouth F.C., among others), opted for a 3-5-2 (flat) shape, which switched to 5-3-2 out of possession (as we can see in the first image below). Elevated pressing play and good combinations in the final third were typical of the team in the second half, which were the main steps to the comeback win at the end; the long throw-ins of right midfielder Fredrik Pålerud were also used as important ‘weapon’ (second image below).

Skeid Fotball took the lead in the 39th minute, when team captain Bendik Rise found the net by his left-footed ‘rocket’ performed from 16 meters (1-0). Shortly after the beginning of the second half, the other team captain on the opposition side, Eirik Schulze scored the equalizer by a header (1-1, it was assisted by the left-footed cross of Tom Strannegård). In the 60th minute, Schulze did it again (in this time by left foot) and from then on, the advantage was with IK Start (1-2). In the extra time, substitution left-back Altin Ujkani started a ‘solo’ run on the left flank from his team’s half, beated two opposition players after which his excellent (left-footed) cross found striker Mathias Grundetjern, whose header set up the 1-3 final score.
