Vejle and Esbjerg faced each other in an exciting dispute full of goals and emotions (4-4 the final result). Both teams did not spare themselves from giving young exciting prospects the chance to showcase their skills against older opponents.
Vejle, coached by Mads Nissen in a 1-4-3-3 shape, made good use of their goalkeeper Knudsen’s ability to distribute the ball with excellent quality with both feet to beat the pressure and switch the play in their build up phase (you can see his preparation before kicking in the image below).

Out of possession they showed great compactness in the first two lines of pressure (see image below) often regaining possession in the final third as in the first goal scored which came after recovering the ball just outside the opposition penalty box.

Esbjerg, coached by Steffen Ernemann in a 1-4-3-3 formation, adopted a high defensive line to put their opponents off-side sometimes exposing their goalkeeper in 1v1 situations against the opposition forwards (see image below).

They scored two out of their four goals on set pieces, one following a short combination (very good strategy which surprised the opposition defensive set up) and one following a long throw-in (which you can see in the image below).
