U19 Ligaen (Denmark) – AC Horsens vs Silkeborg IF

In an interesting match with many talented players who showcased their unique skill set in an ‘open match’, Horsens won the match convincingly by converting three fast counterattacks in goals (3-0 the final result).

Horsens, coached by Claus Troelsen in a 1-4-2-3-1 formation, demonstrated a good defensive stability and took advantage of the ‘gaps’ left by the opposition while building up, by using their forwards speed and midfielders passing abilities (see in the image below the well-paced through ball which Kouassi played to serve his team mate Ouorou in the back space for the 3rd goal).

On the contrary, Silkeborg led by Kim Andersen played in a 4-3-3 formation which often became 1-3-4-3 when their central midfielder Øxenberg dropped between the two centre-backs in their build up phase. They expressed good quality on the ball and reached the opposition penalty box mainly with crosses from their full-backs in high position (see below their offensive shape in a build up moment).
