In a thrilling conclusion to the U17 Scandinavian Championship 2024, IF Brommapojkarna clinched the title with a 1-0 win over Odense BK. The tournament was held in Borås (Västra Götaland County, Sweden) and showcased competitive youth football in the Scandinavian region.

Both Swedish side IF Brommapojkarna (under its coach Magnus Pålsson) and Danish team Odense BK (led by Nicolas Hedeman) employed a 4-3-3 formation, setting the stage for an engaging tactical battle. BP’s disciplined defense effectively neutralized OB’s offensive threats, while their swift counter-attacks created several goal scoring opportunities. The decisive moment came in the second half, when the Swedes capitalized on a quick transition, leading to the game’s only goal of the match (1-0).
The U17 Scandinavian Championship 2024 Final was a testament to the high level of youth football in the region. David was quite hard-working during the entire match; demonstrated an outstanding performance in this final, with scoring the decisive goal by a brilliant counter-attack.
Sion Oppong (IF Brommapojkarna), right winger born 2007.
Sion utilized pace and dribbling skills to consistently challenge OB’s left-back, creating multiple scoring opportunities; made the assist to the decisive goal, which was ‘served on a plate’ for Isso, who rightfully put the ball into the net. Represented quality in this final clash, in addition to showing good potential.
Adam Amrani (OB), central defender born 2008.
Adam displayed strong defensive instincts, making crucial interceptions and maintaining composure under pressure. Definitely an interesting player to follow, who made good tackles and important defensive actions throughout the match.
Mads Larsen (OB), central midfielder born 2008.
Mads controlled the game’s tempo with his precise passing play and intelligent positioning, despite facing a resilient BP midfield. A smart player, who showed promising opportunities in terms of his future development.
