All goals were scored in the first half of the game (1-2 the final result). OB had many chances in this period but managed to score only once. Sparta Prague on the contrary was ‘cynical’ and scored on a misplaced cross and following a throw-in.
OB in a 4-2-3-1 formation exploited the space behind the opposition wing-backs with runs from their wingers or full-back in high position (as in the image below).

Sparta Prague in a 3-4-3 formation, pressed with the two wingers against the opposition CBs and used their STR to lock onto one of the two CMs (as in the image below).

The result of the match of potential players? 2-3
Hjalte Boe Rasmussen (OB), right winger born 2007.
Hjalte is a technical left footed ‘inverted winger’ with excellent close control and game awareness.
He attacked the back space with well-timed runs and found the space into the opposition penalty box by losing his markers. In one of this moments in first half he found the back of the net with a precise finish to even the result. Good speed and agility both with and without the ball, difficult to stop when he dribbles inside on his dominant foot to shoot.
Hjalte involvement in the first team preseason friendlies shows that the Club believes in him and that they are waiting for the right opportunity to make him debut in 1st division. This would help him gaining even more confidence. I see Hjalte in the Superliga squad next year unless bigger Clubs will offer him a better development plan.
Gustav Wulff (OB), central midfielder born 2007.
Gustav is a tall midfielder with great dynamism and vision. He created a huge chance with a great pass over the opposition defensive line in the first half. And supported the attack with continuous deep runs.
Gustav performed above the average level of the match. You can find my conclusions on him in this article from the OB U19 match vs Randers.
Lukas Franc (Sparta Prague), goalkeeper born 2008.
Lukas made two outstanding supersaves in 1vGK situations showing great reading of the game.
Good structure and physical presence in the box. He demonstrated great agility and bravery by coming off the penalty box to close his direct opponent down in the end of the first half to keep his team in front. With his winning mentality and confidence he ‘intimidated’ his opponents forcing them into poor finishes in front of the goal.
Lukas is a top level goalkeeper with great potential to be signed in a ‘top 5 leagues’ Club within the next two years.
Sebastian Pech (Sparta Prague), centre-back born 2009.
Sebastian is a left footed centre-back (played on the left in the back three) with strong defensive skills, especially in terms of positioning and defending 1v1. During this match he has shown to possess good game reading in order to intercept long passes and composure in 1v1 challenges forcing his opponents away from goal or to play backwards. On the ball also good passing and receiving skills. Coordinated when heading the ball and looking for options to retain the ball with his headers.
Sebastian was the youngest player on the pitch but this was not visible from his decision-making in both phases. Being born in January is ready for a move overseas should his Club consider it as the right option for his development.
Radoslav Mikuš (Sparta Prague), centre-back born 2007.
Tall centre-back with good playmaking skills. Able to play precise progressive passes to create dangerous attacks and to step into midfield with the ball. Strong in aerial and physical duels.
Radoslav would benefit from a smooth transition into the first team to learn how to take risks on the ball and become sharper in 1v1 defensive situations. Once this areas are developed he can aim at playing at higher level than the Chance Liga.
To FOLLOW also OB midfielder Noah Lassen (2007); and Sparta Prague midfielder Lukáš Moudrý (2007) and winger Simon Pavlo (2007).
