In a match full of goals and emotions (4-3 win for Brøndby IF), both teams showcased talent and a good organization, especially offensively. All goals were scored in the first half but the desire to go for more was there from both sides until the last minute.
Brøndby, coached by Viktor Enevoldsen Kynde in a 4-4-2 diamond formation both in and out of possession, was brilliant in the first half in beating the opposition high pressure to progress through the thirds and create scoring opportunities as in the first goal scored (see image below).

Also to praise Brøndby’s midfielders confidence in shooting from outside the box which brought to scoring two goals.
Midtjylland, coached by Mathias Rahbek in 4-4-2 formation, also showed some great football when they combined fast on their left side to then find one of the two strikers Velazquez between the lines who delivered an amazing through pass to the other striker Pimpong for their 2nd goal scored (see image below).

A 3-3 draw in the match of potential players!
Malthe Mortensen (BIF), right-back born 2009.
Malthe is an offensive minded full-back with good running capacity and pace. He supported the attacks with well-timed runs and showed the ability to beat his opponents by changing direction and by accelerating with the ball. Defensive he kept his opponents away from goal when defending 1v1 and stopped them from crossing. He was a threat on offensive set pieces showing great timing when jumping to head the ball.
Malthe performance was stable and impactful! His potential makes me believe that he will be a U19 player already after the summer and that he can join the first team within the next couple of years.
Sander Larsen (BIF), offensive midfielder born 2008.
Sander is a modern offensive midfielder with great flair and technique. His movements both with and without the ball are smooth, his control outstanding and his vision above average. He scored the second goal for his team by supporting the attack at the edge of the box and by getting the ball out of his feet with a great first touch before shooting with his left foot.
Sander is ready for U19 football and would greatly benefit from playing against older opponents to improve his dual and defensive play.
Ekene Chukwuani (BIF), striker born 2009.
Ekene is a strong and powerful striker, with a good left foot. His best skills are holding the ball up and setting his team mates with precise passes. When he has space he is so dominant as he outplays his direct opponents by using his strength and pace. At times he seems out of play but then you find him in dangerous spots as in the goal he scored by receiving a square pass in front of the goal.
Ekene can become a key player for his team if he develop his off the ball movements and close control. Physically he is ready to play at U19 level.
Lau Overgaard (FCM), centre-back born 2009.
Lau is a tall centre-back, strong in aerial and physical duels. Good range of passing, he can find team mates with precise long balls. He demonstrated good leadership skills and body language in directing his team mates especially on the ball.

Frederik Bunten (FCM), central midfielder born 2008.
Frederik is a strong box-to-box midfielder with great running capacity and body structure. He supported the attack ending up in good positions to score. Good receiving and passing skills, he set up the 2nd goal by combining to isolate his opponents. Strong in tackling and heading the ball.
Frederik is a great profile for FCM, his potential is massive considering his attributes and the demands of modern football. I see him transitioning in Midtjylland first team squad within 2 years.
Malik Pimpong (FCM), striker born 2008.
Malik performance was fantastic! He scored three goals with amazing movements off the ball and finishing techniques, ‘chipping’ the opposition goalkeeper twice and scoring with his weaker foot. Good speed and 1v1 skills, he showed also the ability to receive the ball back to goal and protect it to open the play and run into the box.
